PARK ÚJBUDA CENTER – SHOPPING CENTRE AND 250 APARTMENTS

The site is located in the crossing of two arteries of traffic, between highrises and a park. A two-level garage, a three-level retail-centre and 6 eight-level residential towers are placed in the mixed-use building. The shape was guided by creating the largest contiguous inner green roof and by emphasizing the verticality of the apartment towers. The colossal and rigid outer block form—enhanced with closed stone surfaces and hole-like windows—is contrasted by both the vivid colouring of the bottom surface of balconies and, inside the block, by open glass facades and the organic forms of the park.
